Harvey Bernard Milk was an American politician who became the first openly gay officials, when he was elected to San Francisco's Board of Supervisors in the US in 1977. He was shot the following year.
Harvey Milk was born on May 22, 1930, in Woodmere, New York. Milk completed his graduation in 1951 and then he joined in US Navy. After 1955 he was worked lots of jobs including schoool teacher, stock analyst and Wall Street investment banker. He moved to San Francisco in 1972, in 73 and 75 he bids for a sat as a city supervisor but he loss.
In 1977 Milk was known affectionately as the 'Mayor of Castro Street', won a seat on the San Francisco. On November 27, 1978 Harvey Milk was assassinated by his colleage, Dan White.
